Danielle is a graduate of the University of Toronto`s Bachelor of Physical and Health Education and an Ontario Registered Massage Therapist from Sutherland and Chan School and Teaching Clinic. She has worked one on one with athletes in the NBA, NFL, AFL, as well as individuals from Canada`s National Cycling, Fencing, and Track Teams. This has prompted Danielle to pursue her certification as a Sports Massage Therapist. Her background includes work in the wellness industry and palliative care. After working in multiple disciplines, Danielle has decided to focus on her mobile business and Athletics Canada.

Charles Allen

8-time ACC Champion


Charles Allen graduated with a Masters degree from Clemson University while also competing in NCAA becoming an 8-time ACC Champion. Upon graduation, Allen trained for the Olympics competing at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and self-coached himself to the 110m Hurdle 2004 Athens Olympic Finals. After retirement in athletics, Allen’s love for the sport continued and was shortly hired by Athletics Canada in 2013 as a sprints and hurdles coach for the East Hub Training Center.

Robert Lee

 RMT, SIT, SMT(cc)



After studying Kinesiology at York University, Robert graduated from the Canadian Therapeutic College with diplomas in Massage Therapy and Sports Injury Therapy. Robert specializes in deep tissue and sports massage and has worked with a wide variety of individuals from professional athletes to expecting mothers. Robert utilizes a variety of techniques in his practice including Positional Release, On-Table Fascial Stretch and Functional Range Release (Lower Limb).

Currently, Robert has the privilege of working with the National IST for Athletics Canada. He has been selected for the Commonwealth Games, Pan American Games, IAAF World Indoor Championships, IPC World Championships and IAAF World Relays.

Robert also maintains clinical, corporate wellness and mobile practices.

Alison Legenza

East Hub Manager

Alison studied at Humber College earning her diploma then furthered her education after earning her Bachelor of Arts from York University. For 6 years, Alison got experience working as a facility coordinator at the Toronto Track and Field Centre located at York University. In 2014, Athletics Canada hired Alison as a full-time Manager for the East Hub Centre.


Jennifer Sygo

Nutritionist  M.Sc., RD,

Jennifer is a Registered Dietitian and Sports Nutritionist for Athletics Canada's East Hub in Toronto. ᅠShe completed an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from McMaster University and a Master's of Science in Human Biology and Nutritional Sciences, with a specialty in Nutrition, Exercise, and Metabolism, from the University of Guelph. ᅠIn addition to her work with Athletics Canada, Jennifer also works as a dietitian in private practice for Cleveland Clinic Canada, and is the team dietitian for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Dale is the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Athletics Canada. In conjunction with his role as the Strength and Conditioning Coach, Dale is the Lead Sport Scientist for the Athletic’s Canada Eastern Hub. As part of this role he plans and executes the Hub’s Sport Science testing protocols. Dale earned his degree in Kinesiology from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Dale is currently a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through the N.S.C.A and an accredited Anthropometris through I.S.A.K. In the past Dale has coached at Queen’s University, EXOS, Mike Boyle’s Strength and Conditioning, Hockey Canada and most recently York University in Toronto, Ontario.
